A Few Quick Photos
We still don’t have enough base area snow to announce our opening day, BUT, we are feeling happy that we dodged the rain bullet for the time being.
Forecasters told us to expect rain from about 2 pm on, but we’ve had snow all day so far.
Here are a few photos from the base and the summit.
It’s important to keep in mind what’s UNDER this 5″ layer of snow. We invite you to check out yesterday’s post to compare.
And, for the first time, a few photos from the summit. It sure is nice to see the SNOW GHOSTS!

I have chills running down my spine. I have tunnel vision towards the snow on this screen. Snow dancing and snow praying every day. Getting pumped!

Hey April, how much snow does Brundage need at the bottom to open?

Hi Mike –
Generally, we need about two feet at the bottom. If the snow comes in nice and thick with no wind, we would still need a minimum of 18 inches.

Really happy with the snow reports and weather forecasts. We are heading up there for Christmas from Ft. Lauderdale to Ski for a few days. It will be great to have my kids with me to see where I grew up skiing. Let it snow let it snow.

Will there be enough snow around December 28th I’m coming back to Boise my home town from Florida for snowboarding only if there will be snow.
