Time for Some Alpine Therapy
For those of us who get one, it’s hard not to get excited about a three-day weekend.
The prospect of an extra day to do whatever you want is always exciting.
But when that happens right in the middle of Winter, it seems even more crucial to seize the opportunity to recharge the batteries and nourish your soul.
Luckily, conditions are looking prime for those seeking some ‘alpine therapy’ this weekend.
Any kind of outdoor activity performed under the sunshine will help boost your energy level.
But there’s a special combination of relaxation and exhilaration that comes with a long ski weekend.
You can’t help but feel like you’re on top of the world when you’re up here looking at the big picture.
I find the mysteries contained in frozen water to be somewhat magical.
At times, even mesmerizing.
The side-to-side motion of connecting turns and carving edges into the snow can be downright hypnotic.
And there’s definitely something invigorating about giving up control to gravity…even a little bit…as you ride an edge down a pitched slope.
I always feel a sense of connectedness to those with whom I share a special ski day.
And there’s something liberating about an open slope laying ahead of me. It opens my mind to life’s possibilities, instead of focusing on its limitations.
So while a holiday weekend spent on the slopes may not come free, it can be extremely freeing.
And definitely better than the kind of therapy you get on a couch.

Had a question about the season pass “Freeze” sale. How come there is no deal with Tamarack Resort passholders for a discounted Brundage pass?

Hi JLZ – We are definitely open to something like that in the future once their ownership issues have been resolved. We do have quite a few people with Tamarack passes opting to purchase our Midweek Club Card, Select Cards and our regular season passes. We also offer a $5 discount off our daily lift tickets Tamarack season pass holders.
