AWeSOMe’s Cardboard Boat Regatta 2009

Live music and entertainment for all at the 4th annual Cardboard Boat Regatta. Teams of two to six crew members construct a cardboard boat using only duct tape and cardboard. At least two team members will race along the shores of Payette Lake to battle it out for the championship. All proceeds from the event support Adaptive Wilderness Sports of McCall (AWeSOMe!), a non-profit organization that provides recreation for people with disabilities.
Location: Legacy Park on Payette Lake
Registration Fees: $50 for regular/family and friends teams
$100 for corporate/organizational teams
Awards will be given to the fastest boat “Cardboard Boat Champion”, the most spectacular sinking “Titanic Award”, and the best-looking “Pride of Sharlie”.

Hi there,
Can I get more information on the Cardboard Boat Regatta? I assume boats are constructed off-site and brought to the park the day of the race. We are looking at maybe getting a corporate team together.
