Brundage Mountain is proud to continue the tradition of the Winter Games. The statewide competition will not take place this year, due to a lack of sponsorship, but you can still come enjoy ALL the Brundage Events that you’ve come to love.
We would like to thank the McCall Ski Racing Team (MSRT) and Sterling Savings Bank for donating the time and funds needed to help keep this tradition alive!
Saturday events include: Children & Juniors Recreational Alpine Giant Slalom (3-18 year olds), Mitey Mite Giant Slalom, Physically Challenged Giant Slalom.
Sunday events include: Adult Recreational Giant Slalom, Mitey Mite Slalom, Physically Challenged Slalom.
A full schedule of events and on-line registration is available here.

Unfortunately, this weekend conflicts with the opening weekend of the Special Olympics. I, personally, have volunteered to work on the Special Olympics activities in McCall but have not been notified of the exact days I will be needed. I would really love to participate in the Adult Recreational race on Sunday Feb 8.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

Are these events just for skiers or boarders too?

The Winter Games events have always been skiing events, but snowboaders are included in our FreeStyle Jam on January 24th.

Too bad that the Winter Games this year do overlap with the World Special Olympics – that will cause numbers to decrease. I applaud Sterling Bank for stepping up to help sponsor the Winter Games, and hope they do not get discouraged if participation is down this year (again, as a result of the overlap). Hopefully, in coming years, the games will again be as big as in past years! Seems the more the state grows in population, the smaller and fewer our beloved events get! What’s up with that?!!! Thanks again, McCall ski club and Sterling Bank, for at least keeping the Games alive!

It is unfortunate that the two events are running at the same time, but we are optimistic about a strong turnout, nevertheless. Pre-registration numbers are very strong, and competitors can also register here the day of the events prior to 9:00 am.
