Sweet Powdery Goodness

122209Waking up to discover nine inches of fresh powder on the mountain is a pretty good way to start the day. Strapping on the big boards and learning that not only is it powder, but bonafide HERO SNOW is even better. I could try to describe it further, but instead, here are some photos so you can decide for yourself.

See you soon! – April

That was nice snow yesterday and I was surprised how the brush was covering up nicely only a few close encounters of an aldery kind!!! A couple of questions/comments. Firstly nice new cedar outhouses but no hand cleaner gel in them; now maybe I’m a clean freak but…..
Also where is the beacon basin? The avalanche report says it is now open but I cannot find anything on the website, perhaps I didn’t look carefully enough. Thanks. W

    Hi Wendy –
The snow conditions are getting good, aren’t they? We just opened the beacon basin yesterday, and I’m still waiting on the specifications and instructions before I put that on the website – what I DO know is that it is up and running right in front of the CatSki office, also known as the “Gelco Locker Room”. That’s right between the upper parking lot and the Guest Services office to the left of the main staircase. I’m told there are instructions posted down there, and it’s BYOB…bring your own beacon. We hope to have some more details to publish here on the website soon –
Also – I will definitely check into your hand sanitizer question – I’m sure you’re not the only one concerned about that!
Thanks for taking the time to write in -
