Another Day in Paradise…

122309.1I guess there are some people out there who shy away from cold temperatures, but most people I know have learned to appreciate them for what they do to the snow.

Technically, we had no fresh snow overnight, but what we DID have are single digit temperatures to freeze-dry the 9″ we got yesterday into more soft, sweet fresh lines. Part of the magic is that there were SO many places still untracked on the mountain, but even when there were tracks, the snow was soft and easy to move around. The groomed runs were also corduriffic, but the thing that REALLY stood out today was the puffy white snow ghosts standing at attention against a backdrop of the bluest darn sky you’ve ever seen…

Here are a variety of shots from our little slice of heaven. Hope you can come see and feel it for yourself soon! – April

From the looks of the forecast, there is a good chance, but I would expect our holiday crowds to sniff out most of the fresh lines by then : (.
Hope you have some secret spots : )
