Safety in Action…

whoops!

Safety is the buzz word this week in the ski and snowboard world – as the National Ski Areas Association kicks off its annual Safety Week.

The goal is to raise awareness about what it takes to be safe on the slopes.

Here at Brundage Mountain,

we’re having some contests to give everyone a Head’s Up about headsupsafety, to make sure they Know the Code and remember to practice it.

Taking a few simple rules to heart really can prevent accidents and injuries!

We’re also excited to introduce a new safety feature, our Brundage Mountain Beacon Park. A lot of people like to ski and snowboard (and snowmobile, too) in the backcountry areas around Brundage Mountain.

searchwideThere are many aspects to safe backcountry travel, and our new Beacon Park can help you practice backcountry rescue search techniques. Naturally, the best rescue is the one that can be prevented.

Here are some great tips when it comes to Avalanche Safety.

Here are details about how you can incorporate our Beacon Park into your personal backcountry safety program.

Keep checking the blog this week – we’ll be posting trivia questions daily and anyone who answers correctly will be entered in a drawing to win a free Basic Tune from our new on-mountain tech shop, Fall Line Tunes.

But remember, when it comes to putting “Safety First”…everyone’s a winner!
