Hey Powder Hounds: Guided Backcountry Trips Underway
Have you been counting the inches and pining away for a powder day? The wait is over!
Brundage Mountain SnoCat Adventures is launching 2010 operations with its first outing of the season, Friday, January 22nd.
Brundage SnoCat Adventures has dropped its prices dramatically from last year.

That means you can spend a whole day in the backcountry with a guided escort for just $239 plus tax ($60 less than last year’s price). OR grab some pals and rent the whole SnoCat for a Private Catski Adventure (up to 11 people). That’s just $1600 plus tax, a $399 savings over last year’s prices.
Even though we call it CatSkiing, snowboarders are welcome, too. Check out this page for contact information, registration and full details on this unforgettable adventure!

I wondered what kind of deal you have to locals that could be at the resort with 4 hrs notice to fill an open slot on the cat?

I am trying to get 11 people together the 6th of march. I am looking for as much info as possible. How many runs we will get. Avalanche equipment, if we need it and do you provide it. Where exactly is it in relation to the mt.
Thanks!

Hi Nicholas –
The 19,000 acres of backcountry where we operate is directly to the north of the ski resort, up Goose Creek canyon. If you are familiar with Slab Butte and Granite Mountain, we do much of our skiing there, as well as a peak we call “76″ (it’s 7,676 feet tall). The number of runs depends mostly on the speed and skill level of those in your group. It’s not uncommon to get 12 runs in a day. (Most are about 2,000 vertical) but snow conditions play a role there, too. Our guides work to find the best runs while considering safety factors that are unique to the backcountry. Our guides provide avalanche beacons for each participant and beacon training. If you have any additional questions, you can always call 208-634-4151 ext. 124 for more information and reservations.
