“Bonus Weekends” Added April 17 & 18 and April 24 & 25
BRUNDAGE MOUNTAIN EXTENDS SEASON THROUGH END OF APRIL, POSSIBLY BEYOND
‘Bonus Weekends’ Added April 17 & 18, April 24 & 25
A huge blast of fresh powder has blessed Brundage Mountain with some of the best snow conditions of the entire season, and the McCall, Idaho ski area now plans to stay open on weekends AT LEAST through the end of April.
Brundage Mountain plans to be open seven days a week through April 11, and has now added two “Bonus Weekends” to the season, Saturday, April 17th and Sunday, April 18th as well as Saturday, April 24th and Sunday, April 25th.
Snow conditions and snow depths at Brundage Mountain are the best they’ve been all season. The resort has had 40” inches of fresh snow since March 21st, more snow than it got for the entire month of February! The base now measures 58-84 inches, and mid-winter snow conditions exist both on the groomed runs and off trail in the powder.
“Apparently, Winter decided to show up late this year,” said resort spokesperson, April Russell. “So we’ve decided to stay open late so our visitors don’t miss out on the excellent skiing and riding this spring.”
Four chairlifts will operate during the Bonus Weekends, and all essential mountain services will be available. Children 11 & under are invited to ski for free for the first two Bonus Weekends, and all other age groups will enjoy a $10 discount off the regular full-day lift ticket prices.
Prices are as follows for April 17-18, April 24-25:
Kids 11 & Under – FREE
Juniors (12-17) and Seniors (70+) - $27
Adults (18 – 69) – $44
With the new snowfall and recent low temperatures, resort operators are confident that slope conditions will remain favorable into late April, and possibly into May.
Brundage Mountain will be assessing snow conditions and visitor interest in the coming weeks in hopes of adding even more bonus weekends.
Exciting events and savings planned for April 10 & 11
Whether you’re into old-school racing or new-school tricks, there’s something for you next weekend at Brundage.
The MSRT Marathon is a 2+ mile race down Brundage Mountain’s longest green run. The challenge is to keep up your speed on the flats and make it to the bottom! Proceeds from this event benefit the McCall Ski Racing Team.
The Brundage Cup Freestyle Jam Final will also be held on Saturday, April 11 and is the culmination of a season-long series in the re-vamped Brundage Mountain Terrain Park.
Sunday, April 11th, Brundage introduces a brand new event, the “Snow Battle”. It’s like a paint-ball war but with snowballs flying instead of paint!
Sunday, April 11th is also a Second Sunday Pass Holder Bonus Day. That means Brundage Mountain Season Pass Holders can bring a friend for free, and Bogus Basin Pass Holders will enjoy half-priced lift tickets.

Hi, I am wondering about road conditions. Are the roads clear to drive with all that snow? I bought another season pass for this/next season and am wondering if I can sneak up that last weekend to get it (I am coming from AZ!!!). Thanks!

Hi Natasha –
It’s hard to predict the weather for the rest of the month, but these recent storms have mostly hit the higher elevations, so roads have been pretty clear right up to McCall, which is really well equipped to plow & sand whenever snow falls. It’s a good idea to check the forecast for snow levels, but usually during the springtime roads are not too snowy. As for you pass, you can absolutely get it on either Bonus Weekend!

Thank you to all the staff for an excellent season. My kids and I have had the most wonderful snow times the last three years at Brundage, and my history with Brundage goes all the way back to when I was a kid with my parents. It’s simply the best little ski hill with the best snow in idaho. Thanks to your buddy system this last weekend. My kids were able to bring two friends, and we simply had a great time. As this seaon comes to an end, and though I am looking forward to biking the mountain this summer, I can’t help but dream and inpatiently wait for next year’s snowfall, for my heart is where the snow is. Thanks again, and see you next season on opening day, whatever day that might be . . .Be good to us mother nature, for I’m sure if asked, skiers could solve the world’s problems.

Brundage Rocks!!! Thank you for letting all us folks take advantage of this awesome late snow, I just wish Bogus Basin would get on board and realize that if they don’t open until Christmas then the pass holders are being robbed of a month and a half of skiing that we paid for. Come on lets get that mountain reopened at least on weekends while we have the snow.

Why are the lift ticket’s still so expensive? It should be a little cheaper at this time of year.

Hi Chuck –
We are offering $10 off all full day lift tickets, with no charge for children 11 & under, so there is a significant discount there considering we have 100% of our terrain open each day we’re operating.
