To Spring or Not to Spring

As another wonderful season comes to a close at the mountain, it is met with both joy and sorrow.

The joy of knowing that the Spring and Summer seasons are upon us filled with fun in the sun, camping, fishing, or laying on the beach.  But the heavy sorrow of knowing that there is at least a six month wait for lift served powder turns, is daunting.

When it finally came down to the last day of operations at Brundage,

it was met with an odd mid- season feeling….

14″ of fresh snow?

Snow ghosts?

Lift Lines?

These are all things we expect to see in the early months of Winter.  But, May 1st at the mountain the powder hounds came out of every nook and cranny of the state, enticed and entitled, ready to go.  Chomping at the bit for literally the last turns of the season.  The enthusiasm was inspiring and left me wanting another four months of Winter.

For those who could not make it, we are sorry!  For those who did, we thank you!  It has truly been one to remember.

See You All Next Season……

-Cory, April, and the rest of your friends at Brundage Mountain!

Where’s the photo we posed for @ the lodge?

  6. Greg Says:

The saddest thing was waking up Sunday to 4.5+ fresh in town the next morning and watching the sky clear and realizing we couldn’t ski more fresh on a bluebird day!
The last day was fun. The next day would’ve been as well.

Thanks for the memories and the great snow. I’m already pining for next season (I hope it starts early).I too wanted to be able to come back on Sunday and take advantage of the great new snow and beautiful sun. It would have been a more fitting end of the season.
