Behind the Scenes…

We’re just a week away from our Summer Chairlift Grand Opening…and things are bustling behind the scenes here at Brundage Mountain.
Our lift maintenance and bike trail crews are working especially hard.
Here’s a glimpse of the projects on the top of our collective ‘To Do’ list…
Adjusting the alignment on the Blue Bird Quad is a complicated process…
The crew sets up…
so the sheave train can be GENTLY hoisted…
a little bit more…
and it’s securely balanced on the axle!
The “Trubaru” is Trail Crew transport with a fancy new pink rack.
Crews are smoothing out the rough spots…
Improving the ‘flow’…
Working hard to give you a ‘smooth ride’…on the chairlift AND on the trails.
See you Thursday!

Hi!
Great to see all that goes into maintaining a Ski Resort! Yes, a lot of hard work!
What is the news on the thinning project, Brundage VMP and the status of building the Chair to Sargents? Any pictures? Anymore Brush removal planned?
Was that a Bicycle trail bridge picture?
Say hi to Rick and Rob!

Hi Clark –
Thanks for taking the time to write in! We are doing some thinning up here this summer. There are several areas on the mountain ‘on the list’ and I will follow up with details once we know what is and is not completed. We are also planning to clear more brush, specifically in the glades between Alpine and Engen. We are doing some very preliminary slope work in the Sargents area, but no major construction is planned for this summer. Unfortunately, our main photographer is recovering from knee surgery, so our photos are a bit limited, as well. I’ll see if I can get one of the mountain crews to snap some shots while they are out and about – the mountain bike trails are looking great as you saw – the bike team is working hard out there!
