Opening Day is Saturday!
Hey everyone -
It is DUMPING up here and we’re excited to share the news that we will be opening THIS SATURDAY, December 4th.
Here are some more details and some exciting news about how you can SKI FOR FREE next Monday through Thursday.
We woke up to 4 inches this morning, and it’s been snowing ALL DAY LONG. As of 3 pm, we’ve got 8 inches in the snowbox…over two feet this week!
This snow FINALLY has some decent water content which means we can pack it in to an acceptable base and groom up the slopes for a Saturday opening.
In the base area, our crews are hard at work shoveling walkways…and chairlifts are being cleared of snow…
the lift ramps smoothed out for opening.
Eventually, they’ll get some assistance from the Grooming Machines,
But right now those guys are focused on re-tracking and packing the slopes, but we will be ready for your arrival on Saturday!

Hey April, This is just great news! We will be there next Friday. Will all the lifts be open? Also, just want to know if you have been hearing that the email snow report has any problems. Mine comes but it doesn’t have any information in it except if you want to unsubscribe. It doesn’t have a link either. I have unsubscribed and now resubscribed to see if that makes a difference but it is definitely not working for me before

Hi Diane!
We do expect to have all of the lifts open by next Friday. We plan to open the Bears Den and Bird’s Nest sometime around December 18, but Smoky’s and the main lodge cafeteria will be open every day starting tomorrow!
Thank you for taking the time to alert us to the snow report issue. We are talking to our programmers and trying to fix it ASAP. We know how much people rely on those!
You may need to re-subscribe at some point after it is fixed, I will try to put a message on the snow report page when we get it all sorted out. Thanks again!
