Fresh Snow for Mother's Day

05/08/11

What a Mother’s Day treat – 2″ of fresh snow and the ski area still open so all those moms can enjoy it!

For the second day in a row, the forecast proved misleading. We got two inches of fresh snow overnight, and it’s been snowing top to bottom most of the morning.

As you can see, some of the flakes in the base area are pretty big.

And there’s at least two inches piled up around the lodge.

It’s unusual to see the trees flocked with this much snow in May!

So instead of the soggy conditions in the forecast, our die-hard visitors spent the morning skiing freshies!

Despite the late date on the calendar, we’re still getting stoked for fresh snow!

Long live the Winter of 2010/2011!

– April
