The Scoop on Closing Weekend

05/13/11

We’re excited to celebrate our latest Closing Weekend EVER this Saturday and Sunday!

Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for Partly Sunny skies and high NEAR 60 DEGREES!

Sunday looks to be a bit soggier, so we are going to take TWO commemorative photos this weekend as we set two different records!

Everyone who joins us Saturday will be making history – it’s the first time we’ve been open as late as May 14th!

Everyone who joins us Sunday will be helping us celebrate our latest Closing Day ever, and putting a cap on our milestone 50th Season!

Closing Day 2008

We’ll be gathering each outside the Main Lodge at 1:00 pm for a group photo.

We’ve had a lot of questions about our terrain parks, and also want everyone to know that our largest terrain park on Rodeo has been meticulously maintained and should be a blast this weekend!

We removed the rails on the Bear park so that will have rollers and jumps only, but you’ll find a variety of rails and bigger features over on Rodeo.

We’re also offering extra special deals on tickets this weekend. Adults (18-69) can purchase a 1-day ticket for $30 or a 2-day ticket for just $50. Seniors 70+ and Kids 17 & under are FREE, so bring the whole family as you join us for our history-making closing weekend!

We plan to run the Blue Bird Quad, the Bear Chair and Easy Street from 9:30 – 4:30 each day. 1,340 of our 1,500 acres will be open, along with the SnowSports School, Day Care, Main Lodge Cafeteria, Smoky’s Pub, the Rental Shop and Fall Line Tunes. Fall Line Tunes is offering a Spring Wax Special ($5 for skis, $8 for snowboards) so head up and enjoy our final Spring skiing experience of the season!
