Gearing Up for Bike Season

06/15/12

You know that feeling of anticipation, when you’re extra amped up for ski season because you FINALLY shelled out the big bucks for the new skis you’ve been drooling over for years?

That’s sort of how we’re feeling at the Bike Shop these days. We can’t wait for the trails to open so we can take a spin on some hot new additions to our summer rental fleet.

The new bikes are free ride bikes from Giant, we have three of the Faith model.

The Faith’s lightweight, unyielding FluidForm ALUXX SL aluminum frame features the beefy new OverDrive 2 oversize headtube and 7 inches of plush Maestro Suspension travel.

And a convertible dropout system enables you to dial in the geometry for the terrain you ride. Learn More.

Check out this video for more on the Maestro Suspension.

We’ve also invested in two new Reign SX bikes, which feature a 6.7 inch travel with a coil over shock, as well.

Here’s what the manufacturer says about this bike:

“Bolstered by 6.7 inches of active Maestro Suspension travel and a FluidForm ALUXX SL aluminum frameset, Reign X is your steady companion when the going gets rough. It’s strong enough to tame aggressive all-mountain terrain and light enough to climb the steeps. Stable geometry, a tapered OverDrive 2 headtube and air or oil shock-compatible shock mounts make Reign X the master of all terrain.”

You can learn more about these bikes at the Giant Website, or just head up to Brundage and check them for a spin yourself. Here’s a link to our Mountain Bike rental info so you’re sure to be ready for opening day, June 29.
