Hi Diane -
We opened up Lower Engen on Sunday. The trail sign is being posted today, so hopefully that will make it more clear where the trail is. At this point, it has a slight uphill pitch for about 200’, but several people report they can glide all the way to 45th without any problem; the grade will get better as we get more snow.

Hi Colleen -
You are absolutely right, so far. Because of our late snowfall, we haven't had enough snow to build the new trail just yet. It does cross a gully and requires a moderate snowpack before we can groom it and create a slope that goes 'downhill'. We're in our third week of operation now, and if we continue to get more snow, we may be able to groom that new trail soon. We will put up a trail marker as soon as we do so that you'll be able to find it!
