As a family-oriented ski area, it is important for Brundage Mountain employees to project a favorable image to our customers. Below is a summarized version of our appearance standards and our tobacco and drug policies:
All persons employed directly or indirectly by Brundage Mountain are expected to be neat and clean at all times. Fingernails must be clean, presentable, and of moderate length.
Hair must be clean and neatly trimmed. Each Department Head will provide acceptable guidelines for the allowable length and style of hair in their own department.
Male employees should shave daily. Beards and mustaches must be trimmed regularly and cannot be started during the active ski season. Sideburns must be clean and neatly trimmed.
Clothing should be clean and appropriate for the work assignment. Due to safety issues and health standards in different departments, dress codes may vary between departments and may also include uniforms.
Photo ID Badges must be worn while on duty.
All personnel are prohibited from smoking or chewing tobacco while on duty. This includes all buildings, parking lots, structures, and company vehicles. Employees may smoke while not on the clock, provided they are in an area approved by their supervisor.
Substance abuse in the workplace, or problems related to substance abuse that affect the workplace, is not tolerated. Employees are expected to report to work in a condition that permits them to perform their assigned tasks in a safe and competent manner.
Employees participating in the purchase, use, sale, transfer, manufacture, distribution, or possession of illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia, the use of alcohol, or the abuse of prescribed drugs on Company premises, during work hours, in a company vehicles, or at a job site is strictly prohibited.
