WINTER REMEMBERS WHO SHE IS
Well well well… would you look at that. Flakes. Flying. (WHOOP WHOOP!!)
Yes, you heard that correctly. After what feels like a couple of weeks of high-pressure déjà vu and Dry January doing Dry January things, we are finally seeing a shift. A glimmer of hope. A tickle of winter. A gentle reminder that yes, it can in fact still snow.
As I type this, nothing measurable in the box yet, but light snowfall is expected this morning and through the day, and you better believe we’ll be watching it closely as those flakes start to stack. This isn’t a powder alert, but it is absolutely a “hey, winter’s not done yet” moment, and honestly, it feels really, really good.
Today is shaping up to be one of those stormy, refreshing Wednesdays that just hits different. Cold temps, snow in the air, and a mountain that is fully primed and ready to accept a fresh little coat on top of an already solid base. If we get that dusting we’re hoping for, expect groomers to turn silky smooth and side hits to start winking at you as the day goes on. The foundation is there, the vibes are right, and the timing is perfect for some sneaky midweek wiggles.
Coverage remains excellent, the mountain is wide open for exploration, and midweek means plenty of room to roam. This is the kind of day where you don’t rush it. Take laps, feel the flakes on your face, and remember why we all fell in love with sliding sideways (or forwards, if that’s your flavor) down frozen mountains in the first place.
If you’re looking to level things up, don’t forget about Mountain Sports School. Whether you’re brand new or just trying to sharpen your skills, our knowledgeable, friendly instructors will get you dialed and moving with confidence. We truly have an experience for everyone up here.
So yeah, it’s not a full-on reload, but it’s a reminder. Winter’s still breathing. Still teasing. Still very much part of the conversation. Come be a part of it today.
As always, please be kind to your fellow skiers and snowboarders and we’ll see you on the hill.

The following is how we classify grooming at Brundage Mountain Resort:
Groomed this morning: The run/trail has been groomed after 12:01am today.
Groomed last night: The run/trail was groomed between 4:01pm and 11:59pm, after the lifts closed.
Open: The run/trail is open for skiing/riding but has had no grooming operations on it.
Closed: STAY OUT OF THIS TERRAIN. Runs marked closed have not been deemed safe for the public to be on.
Upon entering CLOSED terrain, it jeopardizes Brundage Mountain Patrol’s ability to provide aid to you. Your skiing and riding privileges will also be at risk when entering closed terrain.
Early season conditions exist. It is highly reccommended to stick to open and groomed terrain. Off-piste skiing and riding is not recommended at this time.
